Buyers who are involved in a short sale agreement often find themselves losing money, in terms if inspection and lawyer fees, because the deal fell through. In most cases, the lenders are to blame because they were having problems managing the sales properly.

In addition, lenders are having difficulties dealing with troubled borrowers. Even with the constant pressure to approve loan modification requests, many lenders are stubbornly refusing to do so for reasons unknown to the public. With more and more homes entering foreclosure, many buyers are deciding to wait until the market hits rock bottom.
